Spades RPG Privacy Policy
Effective July 19, 2026Spades RPG is a browser game that can be played as a guest. This policy explains the limited information used to operate the game.
Information used by the game
The game creates a random player session identifier and stores game preferences, character progression, and saved-hand information in your browser. The game server processes table membership, bids, card plays, scores, chat messages, progression, and basic service logs needed to operate and secure matches.
Analytics
The public website uses Vercel Web Analytics and limited in-game funnel events to understand visits, game starts, and feature usage. This information is used to improve reliability and the player experience.
Optional purchases
If you purchase or restore premium content, your email address and payment-provider identifiers may be processed to complete and recover the purchase. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by Spades RPG.
Optional progress sync
You may continue playing as a guest without providing an email address. If you choose progress sync, your email address is linked to your player identifier so your campaign progress, career statistics, collection, and eligible purchases can be recovered on another device. Sign-in links and exchange codes are single-use and expire after a short period.
Support requests
When you submit the support form, we process the category, subject, message, reply email when provided, limited browser information, page address, and a verified player identifier when available. We use this information only to investigate, reply to, secure, and document the request. Do not submit full card numbers, security codes, passwords, or bank information.
Multiplayer and chat
Player names and messages you choose to send may be visible to other players at the same table. Do not share personal or sensitive information in your player name or chat messages.
Storage and deletion
Browser data can be removed by clearing site data for this website. Server and support records may be retained only as reasonably necessary for game operation, support, purchase recovery, dispute handling, fraud prevention, security, and legal obligations, then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.
Third-party services
The game currently relies on Vercel for website hosting and analytics, Render for realtime game-server hosting, Stripe when payment features are available, and Resend for optional account-linking email. Those services process data under their own privacy terms.
Children
Spades RPG is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. Users under 13 may not use the service or submit personal information. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information, use the private support form so it can be reviewed and deleted as appropriate.
Questions
Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the private support form. Public, non-sensitive bug reports may be submitted through the project's GitHub issue tracker. Do not include personal or payment details in a public issue.
